Sort-It Western Program (Blue Bag Recycling)
Corner Brook, NL, March 5, 2019 – The Western Regional Service Board, operators of Western Regional Waste Management, have received notification from the Central Regional Service board that they will no longer accept material from our Blue Bag Recycling Program effective immediately.

WRWM Announces Sub-Region Launch Dates for New Recycling & Waste Management Program
Corner Brook, NL, May 31, 2018 – Western Regional Waste Management is pleased to provide the sub-region launch dates for the new recycling and waste management program.  Sort-It-Western will enable residents to sort their waste into two streams; using clear bags for garbage, and blue bags for recyclables.

Western Regional Waste Management Moves Forward with 2-Stream Service Roll-out

Western Regional Waste Management Service Board Elects Josh Carey, Chair and Barbara Barter, Vice-Chair

Corner Brook, NL – Western Regional Waste Management (WRWM) today announced the election of Josh Carey as chair of the Western Regional Service Board and Barbara Barter as vice-chair. The elections took place at their board meeting on January 11, 2018. Carey and Barter will serve in their respective positions over a 4-year term effective immediately.
Josh Carey currently serves as a councillor with the City of Corner Brook and has worked in the Provincial Public Service for over 30 years. Barbara Barter is a councillor for the Town of Burgeo and has served in past roles including councillor, deputy mayor, and mayor over the past twelve years.

Issuing Of Western Regional Waste Management Scan Cards for Waste Disposal Sites

Residents who do not have a Western Regional Waste Management (WRWM) scan card for access to the Wild Cove and St. George’s waste disposal sites will need to provide a photo ID before being issued a card. Cards can be obtained at the WRWM office in Corner Brook or at the Wild Cove or St. George’s waste disposal sites. Read more…
