Garbage Disposal

Some waste materials cannot be reused or recycled. Residents and businesses throughout the Western Region of the province can access safe and convenient garbage disposal sites, collection services, and drop-off locations.

WRWM works with Central Newfoundland Waste Management for garbage disposal. The second generation, engineer-lined landfill located in Norris Arm is home to all household garbage generated in Western Newfoundland. The landfill was designed with leachate control – protection, meaning it prevents harmful substances from seeping into our water, land, and air.
